Mission Trip: Romania

Dear Family and Friends,

Today we toured the Angus Radio station in Cluj. You can actually get it on the internet. All you have to do is google www.angusradio.ro. The programs currently on air are highlighted in red. If it says szunet that means silence, ie. the station is off air. The station broadcasts between 3:00 a.m. and 8:00a.m. and noon until 3:00 p.m. Just add 7 hours for U.S. time. There is other interesting items on their website including a blog which is updated daily, instructions for making a radio, bios of the staff, and a link to the church newsletter Harangszo. There are also interesting pictures. I hope you have a chance to try it.

We met the pastor who started the radio station. Ten years ago, it was located in the basement of his church. Today there are seven employees, one of them full time. There are many volunteers too. It is a family passion as both his twin daughters work there and his wife does a children’s program. They are hoping to form a network with others to provide twenty-four hour coverage in the future.

I’ll try to write again soon. Thanks for your prayers.

Yours in Christ,
Pat Noga
